Hot Honey
Ingredients
- ½ cup honey
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (can add more if a hotter honey is desired- like 1 tsp)
- ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
Method
- Add honey and pepper flakes to a saucepan. Bring this to a simmer over medium heat, remove from heat and stir in apple cider vinegar.
- Cool to room temperature and transfer to a glass container, straining out peppers if desired.
Hot honey can be used on a variety of foods, it’s a great addition to any dish for some sweet heat! Some suggestions: - Fried chicken or chicken tenders - Homemade vinaigrette dressing - Potatoes or other roasted vegetable side dishes, like carrots or sprouts - Pizza - Cheese boards - Baked brie - Chicken wings - Add to your favourite hot tea
