Deli Roll
Ingredients
- 1 sheet non-dairy puff pastry dough
- 2 tbsp deli mustard
- ½ pack sliced pastrami
- ½ pack sliced turkey pastrami
- ½ pack sliced roast beef
- 1 egg, beaten well for glazing
Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a 12x15” cookie sheet tray or line with parchment paper.
- Unfold puff pastry sheet onto prepared cookie sheet, roll out to be quite thin and spread the mustard over the pastry.
- Place the cold cut meats over the sheet in layers, one layer of each meat.
- Roll dough as for a jelly roll, place seam side down and brush with the beaten egg.
- Bake, uncovered, at 175°C for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until slightly browned and flaking. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
[!TIP] For a hint of sweetness, brush the deli roll with duck sauce instead of egg.
