Apple Kugel

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup flour or matzo meal
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ⅜ cup (6 tbsp) oil
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and coarsely diced
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 175ºC.
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, flour, sugar, oil, apples, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
  3. Pour into a loaf baking pan and bake for 1 hour.
